Persimmon golf clubs are most definitely playable works of art, but are you more of a collector or player of your persimmon woods?
I think some clubs because of their rarity and value are better enjoyed sparingly, like special rounds in perfect weather. But it’s also great to have clubs that are strictly tools, played in any condition.
I haven’t played a modern wood in two years and all of my acquisitions are with the intent to play. I stay away from the more collectible clubs that may be too valuable to play.
